Minimal Intervention

The best wines express the sites they were grown. Rather than micro-manage every stage of the wine’s life, it’s best to guide the wine…not speak over it. The selections we offer are a true expression of their terroir. Things that we try to avoid: too much oak, pesticides, fertilizers, too much sulfur, added yeast, added sugar etc. The goal is to minimize the unwanted hangover from garbage that’s harmful to the body. Sure, making a sound wine is very important too—sorry to those natty folks. The beverage should also be correct: not be fizzy, not have Brett & VA (bacterial issues) either. The goal is to reward intention winemaking with minimal intervention, so that consumers can feel like they are tasting a region.
